DEFENDING DAVE SHARP

Raw e-mails with Bill Mulroney

Message # 01: From Dave Sharp to Bill Mulroney, August 9, 2005

Synopsis: Sharp does asks about "John," but doe not know his last name. Sharp describes John to Mulroney. Sharp says John may be involved in "serious criminal activities," involving cyber-stalking and sending death threat e-mails. He suspects John is an FBI "snitch," which might make him "difficult to prosecute." Sharp requests John's last name and contact information. He states that he intends to pass the information to the "Montgomery County Police" and let them handle things "rather than attacking [John] personally and getting [himself] thrown in jail."

Bill:

What is the guy's name who played guitar and sang
"Proud Mary" with a group of other people at your
Saturday night gig? His first name is "John" and he
looks Jewish, although I don't know that he actually
is. He just looks like he is.

This John person brought his own bass player and they
had a female vocalist named Dominique.

It is important that I find out John's last name
because I believe he is involved in serious criminal
activities, although I also think he may be a snitch
for the FBI, or similar agency, and consequently may
be difficult to prosecute. Nevertheless, based on
comments he made to me recently at the Outta the Way
Cafe, I am fairly certain he is [involved in criminal

activity in the area of cyber stalking and sending e-mail

death threats]. Sharp says the FBI questioned him

about the incident, but realized he was not involved.]

Anyway, I intend to file a police report against this
John guy and just let them handle it, rather than
attacking him personally and getting myself thrown in
jail.

I'm not sure if you're aware of it, but I got into a
verbal exchange with this guy (and his bass player
friend) last Saturday night and came pretty close to
inflicting harm on both of them. We can talk about it
sometime if you want, but for now, I just want John's
last name (and address, if you know it) so I can
forward the information to the Montgomery County
Police. They were reasonably cooperative with the
other incident [...], but they
were unable to arrest anyone because the [purpetrator]

lives in another
state. At least that's the local chief of police's
explanation. If I can tie this John guy to the person
who made the threat (which I believe I can), then
hopefully the local cops will do their jobs and arrest
him, despite the FBI's desire to protect their own
low-life snitches [...].

Thanks in advance.

Message # 02: From Bill Mulroney to Dave Sharp, August 9, 2005

Synopsis: Mulroney says he cannot remember John's last name, but recalls seeing him around for years and has talked to him many times. Mulroney gives a different description than Geshen, who said he was extremely quirky. Mulroney says John seemed like a "nice guy." He has played with Scott Gershen in at least one band in the past-the 8 balls was the name. I think Scott stayed at his apartment when Scott fell on hard times last year. Are you sure you've got the right guy?

Message # 03: From Bill Mulroney to Dave Sharp, August 11, 2005

Synopsis: Mulroney gives Sharp unusual advice, considering he is a lawyer. In a previous e-mail, Sharp advised Mulroney that he wanted to obtain John's full name and contact information so he could pass the information to the police, rather than approaching John himself. Sharp wanted to avoid a physical altercation. Mulroney essentially threatened Sharp, saying if he complained to the police, he would be banned from Mulroney's future jam sessions were held at an American Legion Hall in Rockville, Maryland.

Dave-I hope you will think carefully on the matters we talked about before pressing charges.Candidly,I would like to continue an open door policy at the Legion gig each month. But bad blood and violence will end in a flash what I'm trying to have there each month-people won't come if they fear confrontations will occur during the night.
